VitA-POS is a sterile, vitamin A-containing eye ointment that improves the tear film and protects the surface of the eye, forming a comfortable long-lasting protective film. It relieves symptoms of burning, itching, or dry eyes with foreign-body sensation often experienced in various environmental conditions such as air-conditioned rooms, cars, or airplanes, wind, cold, strong solar radiation, polluted air, or cigarette smoke, and when concentrating vision during prolonged computer or television use or night driving. VitA-POS prevents possible trouble with opening the eyes for the first time in the morning and is a particularly soft and smooth eye ointment that spreads very well on the eye's surface. The vitamin A contained is a physiological component of the tear film, allowing for good tolerance and easy mixing with the present tear film. The eyelids glide easily over the conjunctiva and the cornea.

VitA-POS is an eye ointment that provides moisture and daily and nightly protection for dry eyes. It contains vitamin A, a fatty substance that mixes easily with the tear fluid, stabilizes the tear layer on the eye's surface, and thus facilitates the recovery of dehydrated and irritated eye tissue. Each gram of the ointment contains 250 I.U. retinol palmitate. Eye ointments should generally be used without contact of the tube with the eye or skin, and VitA-POS must not be used while wearing contact lenses.
